Prologis Park Maasvlakte, strategically located at Distripark Maasvlakte in the Port of Rotterdam, consists of distribution facilities, including offices and mezzanine floors.

The distribution centres are particularly well suited for use as a single large distribution centre, or can be divided into smaller units. The location provides container and general cargo port specifically designed to service companies’ transshipment requirements.

Port of Rotterdam

All users of Prologis Park Maasvlakte benefit from a direct connection to Europe’s largest container terminal and its easy access to the rest of Europe via major roads, rail and inland waterway links. Distripark Maasvlakte is also adjacent to the deepsea terminals which enable fast and efficient onward shipments by regular short-sea and feeder services. Several international companies such as Reebok, Canon Hankook and Nippon Express already operate from Maasvlakte.

Rotterdam is Europe’s largest logistic and industrial hub. The port is the gateway to a European market of 450 million consumers. More than 500 scheduled services link Rotterdam with over 1000 ports worldwide. In 2010 some 430 million tons of cargo were handled. To expand and improve its services the Port of Rotterdam has developed “Maasvlakte 2”. There is ample room for container transfer, distribution and chemical industry at Maasvlakte 2. Maasvlakte 2 is not only grand in area. In depth too, the port basins will offer new perspectives. With its 20-metre depth, the port is accessible to the deep-draught container ships of the future that cannot moor in many other European ports. Rotterdam is one of the most accessible ports in Europe, thanks to its location immediately on the North Sea. Consequently, Maasvlakte 2 can be reached from the sea within one to two hours.

Due to the expansion of the existing port to a total of some 12,500 hectares, the capacity for container transfer has doubled. Perfect connections to the hinterland present excellent opportunities for businesses that establish themselves at Maasvlakte 2.

A state-of-the-art rail service facility and docks for container barges servicing the hinterland are located within 1 km. The Port Authority operates these facilities in conjunction with the Railway Operator and ECT Delta Terminal. The ECT Delta Container Terminal, one kilometer from the site, has a private access road for multi-trailer vehi- cles to several buildings in the distribution park. Several other Rotterdam ports can be reached within 15 minutes by car. Rotterdam Airport is located approximately 25 minutes away, providing national and international connections.
